Kephart Knife and Axe Combo
Kephart Knife and Axe Combo
Every person entering the woods should have two tools with them, a knife and an axe. Horace Kephart, the famous outdoor writer, touted his simple knife made by "a country blacksmith" as the handiest blade in his collection. He also loved his little Colclessor Hatchet. Here I am offering functional replicas of these same tools.
The knife, like the original, has a 4 1/2" blade and 4 1/2" handle making it extremely comfortable to use and the 1/4" bulb where handle and blade meet keep the user's hand safe. Forged from 1084 high carbon steel. The hatchet weighs only 1 lb. and features an 11" hickory handle. The cutting edge measures 2 1/2" with an overall measurement of 5". The axe head is forged from 4140 tool steel and is made to last lifetimes. Each item includes a sturdy vegetable-tanned leather sheath.
The Kephart Knife and Axe Combo saves you $35!
