This little knife is a perfect everyday companion. The neck sheath keeps it handy and was a common way to carry a knife in the days before pockets and belts. The blade, forged from 1084 is 3” long and the handle is 3” as well. Poured pewter bolster. This is a nice thin blade for fine work, dicing veggies, processing game, mushroom harvesting… The sheath is lined with vegetable-tanned leather encased in deer rawhide. Embellished with a chevron trade bead and some tin cones filled with dyed horsehair, a common embellishment on the early American frontier.
