Starting with 5 layers of two kinds of steel, 1084 and 15n20 I forge weld and stack until I have 80 layers. This is then forged and manipulated into a raindrop pattern damascus. Once the billet is complete I forge and finish the blade. The ironwood handle is lined and pinned with nickel silver. Blade measures 2 3/4” long by 5/8” wide and the handle is 4 1/2”. Includes a vegetable-tanned leather sheath for safe storage.
