Carrying a knife in a sheath hung from the neck is a common practice amongst many indigenous people especially Native American cultures. I find it is a great way to keep a knife handy. The Damascus blade is forged from 1084 and 15n20 and measures 2 1/2”. Classic drop point style blade. The antler handle is 3 1/4” long and is separated from the blade by a silver bolster and leather spacer. Weighs 1.9 oz. The sheath is vegetable tanned leather wrapped in deer rawhide and hung from a buckskin thong. Embellished with antique trade beads. Each sheath will vary slightly.
